A bold collaboration between music and technology

Global superstar Jackson Wang has teamed up with Apple for the release of his new single, “Let Loose.” The accompanying music video was filmed entirely on the newly launched iPhone 17 Pro, unveiled at Apple’s latest keynote event.

Co-directed by Wang and filmmaker Ojun Kwon, the project highlights both the artist’s creative vision and the innovative camera capabilities of Apple’s flagship device. The iPhone 17 Pro’s system includes a 48MP Ultra Wide lens and a 48MP Telephoto lens with 8x optical zoom, delivering cinematic results on a smartphone.

Pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling

“Even during some regular full production shoots, there were times I didn’t get what I expected,” Wang admitted in a statement. “So it was really mind-blowing to experience what the iPhone has achieved in this body of work.”

The singer emphasized the importance of visual dynamics in storytelling: “Any zoom on visuals, whether slow or quick, push in or pull out, always has an intention of emotional delivery. In order to express emotions and narratives in visuals, the dynamics of speed and clearness is very important.”

Following record-breaking milestones

The release of “Let Loose” follows the success of Wang’s latest album, MAGICMAN 2, which debuted at number 13 on the Billboard 200 — the highest chart debut ever for a Chinese solo artist. The new track also sets the stage for his highly anticipated MAGICMAN 2 World Tour, kicking off in October.
