Hublot Unveils Lunar New Year Watch with Chinese Artist Chen Fenwan's Dragon Design

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, luxury watchmaker Hublot has unveiled a special edition timepiece, inspired by the Year of the Wood Dragon. Collaborating with acclaimed contemporary Chinese artist Chen Fenwan, Hublot has reinterpreted the mythical dragon in a unique design for its Spirit of Big Bang model.

The Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Dragon watch, maintaining the model's standard dimensions of 42mm diameter and 13.8mm thickness, showcases an artistic dragon crafted in Fenwan's iconic paper art style. Housed within a satin and polished titanium frame, the dragon design stands out in vibrant shades of fuchsia, white, gray, and indigo. The dragon's composition, featuring five distinct layers, creates a visually compelling, multi-dimensional effect. In a minimalist approach, the dial is stripped of hour markings, featuring only the Hublot logo and skeleton hands.

Functionality meets artistry in this model, which remains water-resistant up to 10 ATM. It operates on Hublot’s HUB1710 self-winding caliber, ensuring a continuous 50-hour power reserve. The timepiece is complemented by a dragon-scale patterned rubber strap, along with an alternative plain gray fabric strap.

This limited-edition watch, released in just 88 units – a number symbolizing fortune in many Asian cultures – is priced at $29,500 USD and available through Hublot.
