Anime Meets Basketball in a Bold Second Collaboration

Crunchyroll, in partnership with the NBA, has officially launched a highly anticipated second fashion collaboration that bridges the worlds of anime and basketball culture. This new My Hero Academia x NBA Collection expands upon the success of their first drop, introducing a bold range of apparel that celebrates both the spirit of teamwork and the global reach of fandom culture.

Seven NBA Franchises, Seven Heroes

The collection spotlights the anime’s most beloved characters paired with iconic NBA teams in exclusive designs. Izuku Midoriya represents the Boston Celtics, Katsuki Bakugo takes on the New York Knicks, and Shoto Todoroki stands for the Philadelphia 76ers. Meanwhile, Mirko teams up with the Los Angeles Lakers, Ochaco Uraraka joins the Miami Heat, Eijiro Kirishima partners with the Chicago Bulls, and Endeavor embodies the fiery energy of the Golden State Warriors.

A Celebration of Teamwork and Heroism

According to Anna Songco Adamian, VP of Global Consumer Products at Crunchyroll, the collaboration reflects the shared values of both brands: “From friendship against all odds to working with a team to overcome any challenge, the world of My Hero Academia perfectly aligns with the NBA’s dynamic spirit.”

NBALAB CEO Eric Perugini added that this partnership aims to surprise fans by blending the heroic determination of NBA athletes with the vibrant storytelling of My Hero Academia, creating apparel that resonates across both anime and sports communities.

Where to Find the Collection

The new apparel line includes hoodies, t-shirts, and streetwear essentials that highlight the crossover between anime culture and basketball fandom. The collection will be available later this month at BoxLunch, select NBA Stores, and through official online platforms.

Fans in New York City can experience the collaboration firsthand at the NBA Flagship Store on Fifth Avenue during New York Comic Con. This limited-edition drop celebrates the power of pop culture and creativity—merging two global fanbases through style, energy, and heroic inspiration.
