SKYX Platforms believes that smart cities are the future and is poised to be a leading provider in the industry. A pioneer in plug-and-play, SKYX has developed the SkyPlug, a new ceiling installation that integrates with safety and smart home features.

“Our focus on combining advanced safety with seamless smart home functionality offers a fresh take on modernizing a century-old industry,” a spokesperson for SKYX says.

SKYX Platforms is determined to have a significant impact on the smart home industry through industry collaboration, new technology, and a commitment to safety. The company’s goal is to make homes safer, smarter, and more sustainable while also helping homeowners save time, money, and enhance safety.

A Commitment to Advancement

After years of frustration in the lighting and real estate industries, the founder of SKYX Platforms Corp. (NASDAQ: SKYX), Rani Kohen, was inspired to make a difference when it came to electrical safety. He sketched out his idea for SkyPlug on a napkin and set off on a journey to have a major impact on electrical safety. It would take 15 years of design and development to finalize his concept.

The SkyPlug is the result of Kohen’s sketch and has drawn wide industry support for SKYX from major investors. The new technology for ceiling installations underwent rigorous review by the National Electrical Code (NEC) before approval. The NEC creates the rules for electrical installation and safety, setting the standard used in the United States by electricians and electrical engineers. In 2017, the NEC updated its receptacle definition to include SkyPlug, a significant milestone because such a definition had not changed for over 120 years. This enormous achievement was just the beginning of SKYX’s success. By 2023, NEC included the SkyPlug in 10 different code categories.

SKYX is dedicated to preventing electrical accidents, including fires and falls, through its innovative products. SkyPlug can mitigate thousands of dangerous incidents through the use of its advanced plug-and-play smart home technologies.

Building the Future

Beyond the ceiling outlets, SKYX has AI-enabled platforms, smart lighting, emergency products, and more. SKYX has the technology to equip an entire smart city project.

SKYX recently announced a major collaboration with SG Holdings (a joint venture of Swerdlow Group, SJM Partners, and Alben Duffie) on a $3 billion mixed-use smart city development in Miami’s Little River District. This 63-acre urban project will include over 5,700 condos and apartments, workforce and affordable housing, 350,000 square feet of retail space, 1.6 million square feet of green walkways, bike paths, shuttle lanes, and parks. It will even have a new $35 million Tri-Rail station for easy access to the area.

SKYX’s founder is proud of this important and “transformative” Miami venture as it moves forward and inspires the projects of the future.

Leading the Industry

“We aim to make SkyPlug a standard in new home and building construction and retrofits globally within 5 years,” a spokesperson for SKYX says.

The goal is to integrate SkyPlatform with the major IoT (Internet of Things) ecosystems. IoT ecosystems are the network of smart devices and services that work together, sharing data to make a home fully connected.

SKYX also aspires to create energy-efficient solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of electrical installations.
As the company moves forward with its goals, it will continue to collaborate with industry leaders and significant partnerships, such as those it has had with the NEC/NFPA, ANSI, and NEMA.
